The beginning of 2026 has been marked by an intense series of dissemination activities supporting the implementation of the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA). Through webinars, deep-dive technical sessions and on-site workshops, the European standardization community is actively engaging stakeholders and facilitating the understanding of how harmonized standards will support CRA compliance.

Join us for ‘CRA Standards Unlocked’, a new webinar series designed to share the latest progress on cybersecurity standards under the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA). Each session will spotlight key developments of the CRA standardization. The webinars will be followed by separate, focused deep-dive sessions, giving stakeholders the opportunity to engage directly, share feedback, and help shape the standards.

A new website has been launched to support the development of cybersecurity standards aligned with the EU’s Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), highlighting the work of the STAN4CRA projects: STAN4CR and STAN4CR2. Funded by the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) and EFTA, these projects aim to accelerate the creation of harmonized European cybersecurity standards.

On 3 April, the Standardization Request for the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) was officially accepted by CEN, CENELEC, and ETSI. In response to Mandate M/606 from the European Commission, the three European Standardization Organizations have committed to delivering harmonized standards well in advance – at least one year before the CRA enters into application.

The Cyber Resilience Act aims to strengthen the EU's cybersecurity by ensuring that digital products and services are secure throughout their lifecycle. It encourages proactive risk management and accountability, empowering businesses, and users to build a safer digital future together. The European Commission has issued a standardisation request to the ESOs for the development of several deliverables to support the implementation of the CRA.
