Representatives of HZN join the regional meeting of NSBs in Sarajevo

A working meeting of regional National Standardization Bodies (NSBs) was held in Sarajevo from 11 to 12 May 2026, bringing together representatives from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Montenegro. The meeting was hosted by the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ISBIH).

Heads of the NSBs, accompanied by their staff, attended the meeting:

  • Tatjana Bojanić, Director General of the Institute for Standardization of Serbia (ISS)
  • Ana Marija Boljanović, Director General of the Croatian Standards Institute (HZN)
  • Zoran Glomazić, Director of the Institute for Standardization of Montenegro (ISME)
  • Aleksandar Todorović, Director of the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ISBIH) 

The two-day programme focused on the following:

  • digitalization of standardization processes;
  • SMART standards and capacity building of NSBs;
  • information systems for managing standardization processes;
  • information exchange between institutions;
  • project funding and development of language resources;
  • terminology databases and translation tools;
  • application of AI/LLM solutions in standardization;
  • the second generation of Eurocodes and national annexes.

The participants shared their experiences on the challenges and opportunities of accelerated digital and technological transformation, highlighting the importance of regional cooperation and the joint development of modern approaches to standardization.
