A new CEN Workshop is being planned which will complement the activities of the EU’s Horizon Europe project entitled 'Digital Twins Enabled Indoor Air Quality Management for Healthy Living (TwinAIR)'. The impact noise and vibration, caused by the interaction between heavy vehicles and infrastructure, has on human health is a major concern in railway. Manufacturers, operators and infrastructure managers work together to develop new methods not only to mitigate the emissions but also to better measure it. Without precise measurement methods, no robust solution is possible.
This tender is being run in the context of a project called Readability Platforms that will, amongst other things, support the European Commission in its conformity with Regulation 1049 regarding citizen access to documents.
After more than 20 years serving the European standardization organizations CEN and CENELEC, Mrs Elena Santiago Cid, Director General of CEN and CENELEC and head of the CEN and CENELEC Management Centre (CCMC), is leaving the organizations on 2 October.
