On 8 February the CEN and CENELEC Presidential Committee appointed Karl-Heinz Mayer as the new CEN and CENELEC Innovation Champion.
On Friday 9 February 2024, a group of 12 CEN and CENELEC Members launched a Shared Digital Infrastructure (SDI). At the heart of the SDI is an online Marketing Portal where CEN and CENELEC Members can advertise, request, or simply browse digital services developed by their peers.
On 18-19 January 2024, CEN and CENELEC in Brussels hosted the kick-off meeting of the Horizon Europe Project RISERS: A Roadmap for Industrial Symbiosis Standardization for Efficient Resource Sharing. CEN/TC 474, a new Technical Committee on COշ capture, transportation, utilization, storage (CCUS) and carbon accounting, has been established. The first meeting will be held on 5 and 6 February 2024 at the CEN and CENELEC Management Centre (CCMC) in Brussels.
Brussels welcomed the second meeting of the European Commission’s High-Level Forum on European Standardization (HLF) on 30 November 2023. The gathering brought together high level representatives of government with c-level leaders throughout industry to discuss the future of European standardization.
