Discover the 2023 Standards+Innovation Awards nominees

The call for CEN and CENELEC Members to submit their nominations to the 2023 edition of Standards + Innovation Awards closed on 30 June 2023. A total of 38 nominations presented by 17 different CEN and CENELEC Members have been submitted.

The 2023 edition of the Standards+Innovation Awards includes four categories:

  • The Project category is dedicated to a European research project that successfully contributed to standardization; 15 projects have been nominated in this category.
  • The Individual researcher/innovator category awards an individual who successfully introduced her/his research outcome or innovation into standardization, thereby creating an impact for her/his work; 9 nominees have been presented in this category.
  • The Young Researcher category recognizes individual students for on the work done for academic theses, doctoral dissertations or other university research projects addressing standardization; 6 nominations have been submitted in this category.
  • The Technical Body Officer category recognizes Secretary, Chair, and Convenor of CEN and CENELEC Technical Committees who actively and successfully collaborated with researchers/innovators within his/her technical body. 8 Technical Body Officers have been nominated.

The nominations will be assessed by a group of CEN-CENELEC BT/WG STAIR (STAndardization, Innovation & Research). The winners will be announced in an Award ceremony taking place in Brussels in hybrid format on 26 October 2023.
