On 17 November 2025, CEN and CENELEC joined by the ANNEX III organizations: ANEC, ECOS, ETUC and SBS, to host a high-level event in Brussels, bringing together key stakeholders to discuss the future of European Standardization. The dialogue focused an inclusive standardization system, considering the pivotal legislative developments currently taking place, e.g. Omnibus Regulation, revision of the Standardization Regulation and New Legislative Framework (see Policy - CEN-CENELEC).

Under the title “Europe as a global standard-setter – between AI, alliances and competitive-ness”, Austrian Standards hosted talks on 11 November 2025 as part of the WE NORM THE FUTURE | Summit 2025. Valerie Höllinger, CEO of Austrian Standards, was delighted to welcome more than 300 participants. In her speech, she emphasized that standardization is an essential framework within which Europe's future is taking shape.

This webinar aims in providing a tool to Working Groups having to base EN harmonized standard onto ISO standard; the tool foresees to include a second table in the Annex ZA to establish the correspondence between the undated references of clause 2 in the ISO standard and dated EN ISO. Additionally, it will also give a reminder on the correct dating of normative reference in harmonized standards.

The Online Standards Development (OSD) platform, jointly develop by ISO and IEC, aims to replace the Word-based standard development way-of-working with a unique, harmonized and collaborative space for all contributors from the drafting stages all the way through to publication. The project is a cornerstone of the CEN and CENELEC Strategy 2030 Goal 2 “Our customers and stakeholders benefit from state-of-the-art digital solutions”.

The objective of this Open Call for Tender is the selection of two Project Team Experts in the field of ambient air measurement and data evaluation.
