A rare “triple logo” Technical Report advancing accessible ICT procurement in Europe

It is a rare occurrence in European standardization to see a document jointly developed and endorsed under the three logos of CEN, CENELEC, and ETSI, the three official European Standardization Organizations. The publication of the Technical Report CEN/CLC/ETSI/TR 101551:2026 therefore represents a significant milestone, reflecting the cross-sectoral importance of accessibility in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and its growing relevance within the European policy framework.

SIST Welcomes New Young Ambassadors of Standardization for 2026

The Slovenian Institute for Standardization is pleased to welcome four Young Ambassadors of Standardization for 2026. Following the third Autumn School of Standardization, held from 12 to 14 November 2025 at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana, a fresh team of ambassadors has been selected three new members joining Erik Vladimir Simić, who continues in his role. This year’s ambassadors are Andraž Andjelić, Erik Vladimir Simić, Danijel Godec, and Mihael Pavlović. The four engineers share one vision: that standardization is here to make our lives better, safer, and easier.

Revision of EN ISO 12100 ‘Safety of Machinery’ Reaches Critical Stage

EN ISO 12100, widely regarded as the cornerstone standard for machinery safety, underpins all machinery standards linked to the Machinery Directive and the upcoming Machinery Regulation. This so-called ‘A-type standard’ has been under revision for several years now to accommodate the new health and safety requirements introduced by the future Machinery Regulation. Given its central role, its revision is expected to have far-reaching implications for worker protection across Europe. The ETUC has therefore been actively participating in this work.
