This webinar will aim to provide first-hand information to CEN and CENELEC Technical Committees on the functioning and state-of-play of the HAS system, and best practices to ensure smooth cooperation between the different actors/stakeholders. During this session, CEN and CENELEC, together with Ernst & Young (EY) will provide guidance to Technical Committees on how to interact with HAS consultants, clarify the role of HAS consultants and provide hands-on information on the use of the EY tools developed for this purpose.

This webinar, co-organized with DG GROW-H2 (European Commission), will provide an overview of the on-going study aiming at grasping a better understanding on the extent to which European harmonized standards (hENs) safeguard the general principle of equity as to ensure products are equally safe for the European population in all its diversity; and how this exercise fits into CEN and CENELEC System.

Since its establishment, CEN/TC 351 ‘Construction products – Assessment of release of dangerous substances’ has worked on the formulation of test methods for several aspects of the release of dangerous substances from construction products.

Organised by the CEN-CENELEC SABE Topic Group Circular Economy (SABE CE-TG) with the objective of providing guidance to CEN and CENELEC Technical Bodies in the preparation of circular economy related standards. This workshop will provide participants with practical information regarding standardization activities and best practices related to circular economy and material efficiency topics from three CEN Technical Committees.

At the occasion of International Women's Day, this webinar will provide an overview of the role standards can play in support of Gender equality. It will highlight the importance of adopting a gender-lens when drafting standards for the benefit of all and present the newly adopted CEN-CENELEC Gender Action Plan (2023-2025), as well as actions taken by the global Standardization community. In particular, a specific case-study will be presented by AFNOR to showcase the Gender-Responsive Standards initiatives led by the national Members of CEN and CENELEC.

The India Smart Utility Week (ISUW 2023) will include plenaries, bilateral workshops, keynotes, technical sessions, technical paper presentations, tutorials and technical tours. Bi-lateral Smart Grid workshops with the EU and USA are also being planned.

This workshop is organised jointly by the CEN-CENELEC Sector Forum on Security and the EU funded project NESTOR together with nine other EU-funded projects. The aim of the action is to help producing a preliminary roadmap for standardization activities on the Border Management (BM) domain.

The conference aims to foster dialogue among policymakers, industry, research and standardization organizations, in view of an effective implementation of the EU cybersecurity legislation.

This webinar will provide participants with the latest developments regarding the preparation of harmonized standards (hENs) for Healthcare.
It will also provide guidance and solutions to Technical Bodies in the preparation of harmonized standards in support of the Medical Device Regulation (MDR) and the In Vitro Diagnostic Medical Devices Regulation (IVDR) to ensure a smooth citation of healthcare standards in the Official Journal of the European Union.

The new HAS contract has been signed and the HAS assessment system has re-started in October. The aim of the webinar is to:
• Do a recap of the tasks and responsibilities of the HAS contractor and consultants, as well as the existing processes and flows, and
• Present the novelties of the HAS assessment system.
