Given the rapid pace of change, how can Europe’s electricity system meet climate goals while staying resilient? How can policy, market design, and standardization work together to strengthen our energy system for the future? Join industry leaders and experts to explore these critical questions at our upcoming hybrid workshop, “Green Electricity Systems and Beyond: From Climate Goals to Systemic Resilience.”
On 24 November 2025, from 13.30 to 18.30 at the CEN and CENELEC Meeting Centre in Brussels, we invite you to look ahead to the future of Europe’s electricity system. Building on the outcomes of Workstream 9 “Green Electricity Systems” of the High-Level Forum on European Standardization (HLF), this year’s event will broaden the scope, addressing the challenges and opportunities of creating a green, sustainable, and sovereign electricity system.
The workshop will bring together representatives from the European Commission, national standardization bodies (NSBs), and the electricity sector. Additionally, a wide range of stakeholders, including SMEs, large companies, consumers, environmental NGOs, trade unions, and academia will also be represented. Together, participants will examine how policies, technologies, and standards can foster systemic resilience while driving forward Europe’s climate and energy goals.
The event will feature insightful panels on:
- The European Commission’s strategic outlook for a green, sustainable, and sovereign electricity system.
- Innovation in AI, cybersecurity, flexibility, and efficiency.
- Current and emerging factors shaping Europe’s electricity system.
- The compatibility of resilience with climate adaptation, electrification, and renewables.
More information and a detailed agenda will be shared closer to the date. Do not miss this opportunity to engage with policymakers, standardizers, and industry leaders and to contribute to shaping Europe’s resilient green electricity system of the future.
