SIST: 'This year will be even more exciting'

We are already well into the second month of 2024, and at SIST, the Slovenian Institute for Standardization, we are sure that all national standardization bodies have already started their activities too. Some of SIST’s work is just the continuation of previously launched tasks which will be taken to the next level in 2024. However, there are also some brand-new projects that we are looking forward to.

Our timeline roughly looks as follows:

  • SIST will be participating in many events, organized mainly for entrepreneurs, either as partners or just as exhibitors, to present our institute, standardization and the benefits of standards. In addition, we have already started preparations for our 2nd RAST Conference, which will take place on 14th October 2024 at the Brdo Congress Centre. Save the date and make sure we see you there!
  • We are organizing the 2nd Autumn School of Standardization, which we would like to extend to more faculties this year, especially faculties of science and engineering.
  • For the first time this year, we will launch the “Young Standardization Ambassador” programme. Our initiative is an opportunity for young students to engage their colleagues to contribute to raising awareness of the importance of standardization and to strengthen their knowledge in the field of standardization. We have selected our ambassadors from among the students who were the most active at the 1st Autumn School of Standardization and will represent us among young people outside the organization, at various events and social networks in 2024.

We are looking forward to the year ahead and hope that our projects will be at least as successful as last year.
