The EU Product Safety Award recognises product safety innovation and excellence

CEN and CENELEC are happy to support the EU Product Safety Award, organised by the European Commission. The Award celebrates innovative business initiatives and research that increase the safety of consumers.

The Award was launched in 2019 to provide recognition and visibility to companies that put consumer safety at the heart of their business. It also aims to raise consumer awareness around product safety, and encourage more informed purchasing choices.

This year, the award focuses on business initiatives that specifically make a difference for teenagers.

Online applications are now open until 8 September 2023! Interested participants can apply here.

To apply, companies must :

  • Be based in one of the countries in the European Economic Area (27 EU Member States plus Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway).
  • Have developed a product or led an initiative aiming to increase the safety of teenagers that goes beyond the requirements of EU law and standards.
  • Operate in line with internationally recognised Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) criteria.

Winners will have the possibility to share their innovative solutions at a prestigious Award ceremony on 4 December 2023 in Brussels, hosted by European Commissioner for Justice, Didier Reynders.  The award will serve as a testament to their reputation as product safety champions.

For companies with proven track records in consumer safety and a dedication to excellence, this Award is a golden opportunity to shine!
