CEN-CENELEC Workshop on 'LEVEL-UP Protocols (WS LUP)'

The Workshop will produce a CEN-CENELEC Workshop Agreement (CWA) which will offer a scalable platform covering the overall lifecycle, ranging from the digital twins setup, modernisation actions to diagnose and predict the operation of physical assets, to the refurbishment and remanufacturing activities towards end of life. In-situ repair technologies and the redesign for new upgraded components will be facilitated through virtual simulations for increased performance and lifetime.

The actions for modernising, diagnosing, inspecting, repairing, disassembling, upgrading, refurbishing, remanufacturing, recycling and reassembly & testing will be structured and formalised into special Protocols, linked with an Industrial Digital Thread weaving a seamless digital integration with all actors in the value chain for improved future iterations.

The development of a CWA, based on the consensus of the parties, is the most suitable tool to provide policymakers and all interested stakeholders with a guide, a reference document which, although not binding, will act as a catalyst for further documents, proposals and future European projects.

The secretariat is held by ASI, the Austrian Standardization Body, Mr Andreas Feigl. The proposed Chair of this WS is Mr Marco Franke.

The kick-off meeting has been postponed. The new date will be announced soon.

Requests to participate in the Workshop and/or comments on the project plan are to be submitted by 6 June to WS Secretariat, Mr Andreas Feigl, at a.feigl@austrian-standards.at. You are kindly requested to use the commenting form below. The initial project plan which had been made available on this website in March has been reviewed; the changes are visible via the track changes mode:
