Sharing experience

The contribution of European workers to standardization greatly helps to improve the quality of European standards, and to ensure that they are relevant, fit for purpose and that they meet user needs.

Trade Unions can and have often made a difference! Check-out some examples of how the contribution of European workers to standardization has succeeded in shaping standards for workers, for instance in the area of machinery safety and ergonomics. Check-out some examples on ETUC website and ETUI website

Your feedback on your participation in standardization can help National Standards Bodies and National Committees to better involve societal experts, or to do so more systematically. Share with them your suggestions and comments!

National members of CEN and CENELEC further seek to gather views, experiences, feedback and information from users for them to evaluate and potentially improve and/or develop standards. They may also provide additional channels for giving user feedback e.g. through questionnaires, online tools, social media etc. Or even provide the means for users to network and share experiences, for example through standards user panels.

Send your feedback by contacting your CEN National Standardization Body or CENELEC National Committee.

CEN and CENELEC strive to provide standards that meet user needs. To achieve this, we want contributions from expert users to develop new standards, as well as maintain and improve existing ones. This means that your feedback from using individual standards, and your experience of using the services provided by CEN and CENELEC and our members is valuable and welcome.

Send your feedback about the information and support services provided by CEN and CENELEC.
