Ecodesign is a transverse topic which has been influencing several sectors, with a special focus on ErP until now, and which will step by step cover the other products available on the market in the next years.
Practically, it means that a lot of CEN and CENELEC Technical Committees (see non-exhaustive list) deal with this matter, in parallel with their sector specific legislations. The Ecodesign approach is implemented by the Technical Committees in the different sectors as much as possible in a similar way to ensure coherence.
An internal CEN and CENELEC coordination system is in place to this end (CEN-CLC/COG Ecodesign).
