Every day, approximately 300 million individuals are menstruating, yet surprisingly, there is no global or European standard to ensure the safety of menstrual products. This International Women’s Day, we want to spotlight the critical work of ISO/TC 338 — Menstrual Products.

Launched by Shikha Shahi, DIN Expert and Senior Standards Professional at Microsoft, the Women in ICT Standardization Coffee Chat is a quarterly virtual gathering designed to foster community and inclusion among women working in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) standardization.

Inclusiveness and Diversity are core values of the CEN and CENELEC system and are essential to developing standards that equally benefit everyone. On International Women’s Day, CEN and CENELEC are happy to join the celebrations and highlight our efforts to achieve full gender equality and support women everywhere.
