CEN and CENELEC warmly welcome the European Commission’s Gender Equality Strategy 2026–2030, published in March 2026. The Strategy reaffirms gender equality as a core value of the European Union and sets out a comprehensive framework of actions to advance equality between women and men in all their diversity.
Every day, approximately 300 million individuals are menstruating, yet surprisingly, there is no global or European standard to ensure the safety of menstrual products. This International Women’s Day, we want to spotlight the critical work of ISO/TC 338 — Menstrual Products.
Launched by Shikha Shahi, DIN Expert and Senior Standards Professional at Microsoft, the Women in ICT Standardization Coffee Chat is a quarterly virtual gathering designed to foster community and inclusion among women working in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) standardization.
CEN and CENELEC responded to the public consultation on the Gender Equality Strategy 2026-2030, outlining the work already being carried out to achieve these goals and how the Gender Equality Strategy can further support progress.
