1 October – CRA Standards Unlocked – EU Tour in the Hague

The next stop of the CRA Standards Unlocked – EU Tour is taking place in The Hague on 1 October (hybrid event). This workshop helps SMEs understand, prepare for, and comply with the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), translating regulatory requirements into practical guidance and tools and providing information about the ongoing standardization process and ways to engage in open consultations.

7 October – Extraordinary CEN and CENELEC Boards

The CEN and CENELEC Boards hold comprehensive authority to guide, coordinate, and implement policies that impact both CEN and CENELEC. The Common Session enables streamlined decision-making, promotes alignment on strategic priorities, and strengthens the cohesion needed to advance common goals in standardization, ensuring consistency and effectiveness across both organizations. These extraordinary sessions will focus on the election of Officers and the revision of CEN and CENELEC Statutes.

13 October – Membership Relations and Monitoring Committee (MRMC)

The MRMC is in charge of all assessment processes related to adoption and adherence to Membership criteria by all current Members, and it also oversees the evaluation of the fulfilment of Membership criteria by candidate organizations, Affiliates or all other organizations (NSBs/NCs) having a framework with CEN and/or CENELEC. This session will address several topics which require in-depth discussions and decisions on the future work of the MRMC.

14 October – Meeting with NATO High-Level Representatives

With a view to foster collaboration and strengthen the relationship between our organizations, the CEN and CENELEC Acting Director General will meet Major General Poulette, Director of the NATO Standardization Office (NSO), which manages and coordinates military standardization activities for the Alliance.

20-22 October – Technical Boards

The CEN and CENELEC Technical Boards monitor the full standards programme, promote its speedy execution by the Technical Bodies and the CEN-CENELEC Management Centre, and discuss any possible issues or opportunities related to standards development.
