On 15 January 2026, the third Steering Committee meeting of the SESEI 6 project (Seconded European Standardization Expert in India) was held in ETSI’s Brussels office, gathering all project partners: CEN, CENELEC, ETSI, several Directorates from the European Commission, and EFTA.
The objective of this meeting was to review progress since the last meeting (held on 25 June 2025 in CEN and CENELEC) and to discuss and agree on the next actions to be undertaken by the SESEI Expert, Mr Dinesh Chand Sharma, and the project partners. The SESEI project’s objective is to promote cooperation between Europe and India on standards and related policies and regulation. In particular, CEN and CENELEC will continue their cooperation with the Bureau of Indian Standardization (BIS) for better technical alignment, also in light of the recent negotiations on the EU-India trade agreement.
