Edu4Standards.eu calls for students to help co-create a European Standardization Students’ Association

As a partner of the Horizon Europe funded project Edu4Standards.eu, CEN and CENELEC are establishing the first ever student association dedicated to standardization.

This is part of a wider effort to make standardization more interesting and available to younger generations. To this end, Edu4Standards.eu has previously launched the so-called Academic Standards Days, which have already been celebrated in five different countries thanks to the efforts of CEN and CENELEC Members.

As a part of the organization of these events, Members have been asked to reflect on the creation and relevant input to the association’s activities. With this call for interest, the aim is now to get input from students on their wishes for the association. The project is therefore organizing three focus meetings in February to start the co-creation.

The initiative is open to students of any discipline studying in Europe and whose curiosity is sparked when the talk falls on topics such as competitiveness and innovation.

The focus meetings will take place on Wednesday, 11 February at 12h30 CET, Thursday, 12 February at 8h30 CET, and Tuesday, 17 February at 17h30 CET. The meetings will all take place online and be conducted in English.

We encourage our network to share this call among contacts in the academic world especially. More information and call for interest from students are available here: EDU4Students | EDU4Standards
