2026-01-15 Induction Session for 2026 CEN and CENELEC Boards members
The induction session aims to provide newly elected Board members starting their term of office as of 1 January 2026 with a comprehensive understanding of their roles, responsibilities, and the organizational framework. This session ensures that CEN and CENELEC Board members are well-prepared to navigate their new roles effectively and confidently lead the Associations forward.
2026-01-21-22 CEN and CENELEC Seminar for New Technical Body Officers, Award ceremony honouring TB Chairs and Secretaries and CEN and CENELEC TBO Seminar
The CEN and CENELEC Technical Body Officer’s Seminar is a multi-day event, bringing together officers of technical bodies for learning, recognition, and professional exchange. The seminar provides practical guidance on roles, responsibilities, and procedures within the European Standardization System, alongside updates on policies, tools and best practices, while fostering networking and the sharing of experiences among peers.
The event is preceded by an interactive training day for new officers, designed to lay the knowledge foundations for those who have joined CEN or CENELEC in a Technical Body Officer role within the previous 12 months. In 2026, the biannual award ceremony will also take place, formally celebrating outstanding contributions to standardization work. During this ceremony, 6 CENELEC and 4 CEN Technical Body Officers (chairs and secretaries) nominated by their peers will be honoured.
2026-01-22 Membership Relations and Monitoring Committee Meeting (MRMC)
The MRMC is in charge of all assessment processes related to adoption and adherence to Membership criteria by all current Members, as well as oversees the evaluation of the fulfilment of Membership criteria by candidate organizations, Affiliates or all other organizations (NSBs/NCs) that have a framework with CEN and/or CENELEC.
2026-01-29 Danish Standards 100th Anniversary celebration
Danish Standards is turning 100 years in 2026, marking a century where standards have brought the world together and paved the way for development, quality, and sustainable growth in Denmark and Europe, as well as internationally. DS is proud to celebrate this milestone. During the event, they will focus on the impact of standards on Danish competitiveness and important agendas in society – today and in the future.
