On 22 October, the ETUC, in partnership with the Irish Confederation of Trade Unions (ICTU) and the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI), will host a national event on standardization in Dublin.
The meeting is one of two events annually co-organized by the ETUC, in collaboration with national affiliates, aimed at raising awareness within the trade union movement of the growing relevance of standardization. These events explore how standards influence workplace conditions, and how trade unions can engage in the standard development process. Participants will benefit from expert insights into how standardization works at both the European and national level, and why it matters for workers. The event will also shed light on the roles of the European Commission and NSAI in shaping and adopting standards.
