As we head into autumn, SIST has a series of engaging initiatives lined up to raise awareness of standardization and to deepen connections with business and research communities.
SIST will participate at MOS (“the fair of all fairs”) in Celje, one of Slovenia’s most prominent business exhibitions, showcasing services and innovations across multiple sectors – from digital solutions to craftsmanship and eco‑technology. This event is a prime opportunity to engage directly with domestic and international craft and business stakeholders.
On World Standards Day, SIST is hosting the third RAST Conference. Focused on innovation, quality and the role of standards in business, this event brings representatives of companies together to collaborate in shaping European and international standards. It is an opportunity for sharing best practices, showcasing success stories in standardization, and actively involving companies in standard development.
This autumn, SIST will present their work and invite collaboration with researchers. From October to November, they will be active in the SPOZNAJ project, which supports the adoption of open science principles across Slovenian research organizations. SIST will also participate in the ARIS Science Days, organized by the Slovenian national research agency, bringing together science, innovation and broader civic participation.
Finally, SIST’s November programme will be dedicated to students – hosting an Autumn School of Standardization at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. This year, SIST will make it even more interesting and will include a student hackathon, combining education in standards with a hands-on competition. The Autumn School traditionally concludes with a quiz-form selection of new Young Standardization Ambassadors.
These initiatives bring together businesses, researchers and citizens to foster innovation, transparency, and public trust:
SIST is excited for these events to advance their mission: promoting standardization, open science, and collaborative innovation all throughout the autumn season.
