The Global Data Service Organization for Tyres and Automotive Components (GDSO) has been formally registered as a Liaison Organization with the CEN-CENELEC Joint Technical Committee 24 (JTC 24) – Digital Product Passport – Framework and System.
This agreement, signed on 17 September 2025, recognizes GDSO’s role as a key actor in the development of data-driven standards for the tyre and automotive sector. As a Liaison Organization, GDSO will be able to contribute its expertise and knowledge to the work of JTC 24, supporting the creation of a consistent and interoperable framework for Digital Product Passports (DPP) across Europe.
JTC 24 is tasked with developing the standards and system architecture for the Digital Product Passport, a central element of the EU’s Circular Economy Action Plan. The DPP will provide a harmonized way to make product-related information digitally available throughout the value chain, fostering sustainability, transparency, and innovation in European industry.
