On 16 October, the Slovenian Institute for Standardization (SIST) organized its first RAST Conference, an event to celebrate World Standards Day, to raise awareness to the importance of standards, and to present the benefits of using standards through success stories from prominent Slovenian companies. The conference, which took place at Brdo Congress Centre, offered the participants a wealth of content on current global challenges.
The Romanian Standards Association (ASRO) marks a significant milestone as it celebrates its 25th anniversary. Established on 2nd October 1998, ASRO has unwaveringly championed for quality, safety, and efficiency, shaping the Romanian market as an integral part of the European Single Market.
On 1 September, the European Commission launched a call for evidence with a view to possibly revise Regulation 1025/2012 on European standardization. The objective was to collect feedback and views on the effectiveness of the current legislation in “meeting the opportunities and challenges of , ensuring the security of citizens and supporting the green and digital transition”.
ILNAS, the National Standards Body of Luxembourg, has made education about standardization a top priority since the first national technical standardization strategy in 2010 and, as of 2013, ILNAS and the University of Luxembourg have been collaborating for the development of educational programs involving technical standardization.
