A future-oriented rail system for Europe: CEN, CENELEC and SHIFT2RAIL signed a partnership agreement

 

Brussels, 10 June 2021 – The European Committee for Standardization (CEN), the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC) and the Shift2Rail Joint Undertaking (S2R) signed today a Memorandum of Understanding that will bring forward the standardization work on the railway sector in Europe.

Standards are key for the EU Green Deal: successful workshop organised by the German presidency of the EU council

CEN and CENELEC make European standards available to help prevent COVID-19 contagion

 

Brussels 20 March 2020 - In response to the coronavirus outbreak, CEN, the European Committee for Standardization, and CENELEC, the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization, agreed, in collaboration with all their Members and after the urgent request from the European Commission, to make freely available a series of European standards (ENs) for medical devices and personal protective equipment used in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
