This year’s annual Standardization Conference took place at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid from June 18-20. It was supported by the Spanish Association for Standardization (UNE), StandICT.eu, and Edu4Standards. About 50 experts from academia and standardization gathered to discuss the state of research on standardization.
As partners in the Edu4Standards project, CEN and CENELEC were pleased to support the conference and foster relations within the research and standardization community. Additionally, we were able to present the first outcomes of the RISERS project study “Practitioner-Centred Standardization for Industrial Symbiosis: Insights from the European RISERS Survey”. Amongst many discussions pivoting around Research & Innovation, the conference closed with a dive into recommendations on education by the European Commission’s High-Level Forum on European Standardization.
The next EURAS conference is planned to take place in Austria in the fall of 2026.
