New Website Launched to Support Cybersecurity Standards for the Cyber Resilience Act

A new website has been launched to support the development of cybersecurity standards aligned with the EU’s Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), highlighting the work of the STAN4CRA projects: STAN4CR and STAN4CR2. Funded by the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) and EFTA, these projects aim to accelerate the creation of harmonized European cybersecurity standards.

Jointly implemented by CEN, CENELEC, and ETSI, the STAN4CRA projects are central to supporting the European Commission’s standardization request (M/606) under the CRA. Our mission is to deliver essential cybersecurity standards at least one year ahead of the CRA’s application date.

The projects engage technical committees in developing standards rooted in cybersecurity-by-design and by-default principles, ensuring consistency across all sectors of the EU Single Market. A strong focus is placed on stakeholder engagement, with public consultations, technical sessions, and dedicated outreach to SMEs and the open source community.

By supporting both horizontal and vertical standards, and covering the full lifecycle of products with digital elements, STAN4CRA helps build a coherent, resilient, and trusted cybersecurity framework in Europe. This work not only strengthens Europe’s position as a leader in cybersecurity but also promotes compliance, interoperability, and innovation across the digital economy.

Visit the newly launched website to learn more about STAN4CRA and stay up to date on the progress of European cybersecurity standards under the CRA.
