The CEN and CENELEC Annual Report for 2022 is now available, in a renewed, fully digital design.
2022 was a crucial year for CEN and CENELEC. While Europe took bold steps towards increased resilience and reaffirmed its commitment to shared values, our community rose to the task, demonstrating strong dedication. Standardization saw its strategic role recognized and strengthened, and a rapidly changing geopolitical environment disrupted established assumptions and behaviours, but also catalysed an unprecedented acceleration of changes.
The Annual Report presents the main highlights that marked a very dense and strategic year for our two organizations in 2022. Its new, fully digital format allows for a more accessible, renewed experience, and reflects CEN and CENELEC’s forward-looking approach.
Some highlights that testify the hard work and commitment of the CEN and CENELEC community include:
- the support European Standards provide to the EU policy priorities in the framework of the twin digital and green transition and to the achievement of the SDGs;
- the continuing implementation of the joint CEN and CENELEC Strategy 2030;
- the work done in support of the new European Standardization Strategy;
- and our continuing efforts in making our standardization system more inclusive and open to the world, to better meet the needs of the industry and society.
Acknowledging these and many other successes pays tribute to the efforts of our members, partners, stakeholders, and collaborators across Europe. They are a good example of the strength of the European Standardization System, which allows CEN and CENELEC to look with optimism to the future.
