Nominations for Standards+Innovation Awards 2022

The call for CEN and CENELEC Members to submit their nominations to the 2022 edition of Standards + Innovation Awards closed on 15 June.

Since 2019, the Standards + Innovation Awards acknowledge and celebrate the important contributions of research and innovation to standardization, presenting awards in three categories.

 

The Project category is dedicated to a European research project that successfully contributed to standardization. Six projects have been nominated in this category: ARCH (nominated by DIN), ARETE (nominated by UNE), FORMOBILE (nominated by ASI), GEOFIT (nominated by ASI), SPHERE (nominated by UNE), STRATEGY (nominated by ASRO). 

 

The Individual researcher/innovator category awards an individual who successfully introduced her/his research outcome or innovation into standardization, thereby creating an impact for her/his work. Six nominees have been presented in this category: Antonio SANSONETTI (nominated by UNI), David KEELEY (nominated by NSAI), Elisabeth MERTL (nominated by ASI), Iwona BOREK-IDŹKOWSKA (nominated by PKN), Juan José LUCENA MAROTTA (nominated by UNE), Simone WURSTER (nominated by DIN).

 

The Young Researcher category recognizes individual students for on the work done for academic theses, doctoral dissertations or other university research projects addressing standardization. The two Young Researchers nominated are Kalle LIPIÄINEN (nominated by SFS) and Ivan NAVARRO GONZÁLEZ (nominated by NEN).

 

The nominations will be assessed by a group of CEN-CENELEC BT/WG STAIR (STAndardization, Innovation & Research). The winners will be presented in an award ceremony on 3 October 2022. More information on the event will be available closer to the date.
