European standardization is a collective effort: many different people, coming from a variety of backgrounds, contribute in various forms to making European standards a success.
To recognise and celebrate their contribution, in 2020 we have launched the project ‘Faces of standardization’, a series of monthly interviews with the individuals who make standardization possible.
Now that 2020 is approaching its end, for the last episode of the series we interviewed Elena SANTIAGO CID, CEN and CENELEC’s Director General, Vincent LAFLECHE, CEN’s President, and Dany STURTEWAGEN, CENELEC’s President, on the importance of standards and the road ahead for European Standardization.
