CEN-CENELEC Guides

The CEN-CENELEC Guides are reference documents published by CEN-CENELEC to give orientation, advice or recommendations on standardization principles and policies and guidance to standards writers.

 

Guides may also address issues of interest to all users of European documents such as manufacturers, designers, service providers and educators.

Participation of a National Standards Institution in the Activities planned by another Standards Institution (2001)

This guide with the guidelines for the inclusion of safety aspects in standards has been withdrawn and is superseded by ISO/IEC Guide 51/2014 Safety aspects -- Guidelines for their inclusion in standards. ISO and IEC sell a copy of the Guide on their website.

This guide specifies the basic tasks and responsibilities of the New Approach Consultants working with CEN and CENELEC.

This Guide complements, and should be read in conjunction with CEN-CENELEC Guide 22 "Guide on the organisational structure and processes for the assessment of the membership criteria of CEN and CENELEC".
