While there may be significant differences between countries, the following groups are always important to consider:
- researchers: those who undertake research activities. They can be publicly or privately funded and work at universities, research institutions or research departments in companies.
- policy makers: national, regional or local authorities that have some level of responsibility in the planning, organization or funding of research.
- national Contact Points (NCPs): link between the European Commission and the national project coordinators. They play a strong role as information providers for consortia, proposers, potential participants, etc.
As a first step, it will be very useful for you to identify these categories of stakeholders (and maybe others) in your country.
