The aim of the forthcoming Workshop is the development of a CEN-CENELEC workshop on ‘Reference model for distribution application for microgrids’.
The workshop is proposed within the context of WiseGRID project funded by the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 – The Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.
This Workshop aims to provide a reference model, use cases and functionalities of an advanced Distribution Management System (DMS) oriented to small and medium distribution grids and microgrids with the objective of describing a full list of functionalities that a common DMS usually incorporates.
In addition, the main purpose of the solution will be to enable grid operators to manage the fundamental changes that distribution grids are facing nowadays, some remarkable ones of those being the transition towards a grid with high penetration of distributed renewable energy resources and the presence of additional significant loads coming from EVs among others.
The proposers of the Workshop are part of the WiseGRID Consortium (see in draft Project Plan) and the Secretariat is hold by the Spanish Association for Standardisation, UNE.
The kick-off meeting will be held on 17 February 2020 in Madrid, UNE premises (Génova 6, Madrid 28004, Spain).
All interested parties are invited to submit comments on the draft Project Plan to the Workshop Secretariat, Mr Miguel Aranda Gómez(firstname.lastname@example.org) by 12 February 2020.
