Progressing standardization cooperation with five top priority ‘foreign’ partners

After their establishment in 2018, the five Priority International Partnership Task Forces (India, Japan, Africa, the Gulf region and China) have already held three rounds of meetings, with the participation of their foreign counterparts.

  • Africa - prepare a pilot project proposal to be funded by the European Commission
  • Gulf Region – Organise of a workshop with GSO to introduce the concept of the Vienna and Frankfurt Agreements
  • India – Organise a workshop with BIS on implementation of its standardization strategy
  • Japan – Organise a workshop with JISC on opportunities for industry from the new EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA)
  • China – Organise a workshop in Shanghai during the IEC GM to deepen the understanding of the European standardization model amongst Chinese technical body officers
