As a follow-up to the webinar “Cybersecurity Requirements for Hardware Devices with Security Boxes”, we invite you to join an exclusive deep dive into the ongoing development of the European harmonized standard for Hardware Devices with Security Boxes

With the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) entering into force, the European regulatory landscape is shifting rapidly to address the cybersecurity of products with digital elements. To support this transition, CEN TC 224 WG 17 is leading the development of a harmonized standard covering the essential cybersecurity requirements for Hardware Devices with Security Boxes.

This training will equip TCs and their Working Groups (WGs) on how to use the “Tailored Guidance for Standardization Technical Committees” to identify climate issues in their standards and to address these in line with the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change. This training will identify TCs and WGs that identify as able to proceed with minimum further assistance, and those that require more support on climate change adaptation from our experts.

European Standards are at the core of the Single Market. Over the last 30 years, the European Standardization System has delivered more than 3600 harmonized standards, allowing industry and SMEs to demonstrate compliance with EU law in a resource and cost-efficient way.

IEC and CENELEC are committed to develop standards helping to meet today’s technological and societal challenges as well as those that society will face in the future. The high level of convergence between CENELEC and IEC standards is facilitated by the ongoing technical cooperation between both organizations, materialized by the Frankfurt Agreement.
This webinar is co-organized by CENELEC and IEC and will provide participants with an overview of the Frankfurt Agreement. Some practical information on how IEC and CENELEC work together as well as some details on the links between the European Standardization System and European legislation will be given during the webinar.

This webinar aims to provide first-hand information to CENELEC Technical Bodies on the functioning and state-of-play of the process to request Common Modifications to projects in parallel with IEC, and at the inclusion of Annex Z and Annex ZA during the parallel development. We will provide further guidance and explain roles and responsibilities of the different parties as well as emphasis the right moment to introduce requests and make the relevant documentation available.

The new HAS contract has been signed and the HAS assessment system has re-started in October. The aim of the webinar is to:
• Do a recap of the tasks and responsibilities of the HAS contractor and consultants, as well as the existing processes and flows, and
• Present the novelties of the HAS assessment system.

This webinar will provide participants with practical information regarding the preparation of CEN and CENELEC harmonized standards to be cited in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) under the Machinery Directive.

The budget of the HAS assessment contract ended at the beginning of February 2022 and further requests for assessment will no longer be processed by the HAS contractor within the current contract. This webinar aims at providing guidance to CEN and CENELEC Technical Bodies on how to proceed during the gap between HAS contracts. Additionally, the novelties of the upcoming HAS assessment contract will be presented to the participants of the webinar.

This webinar will provide participants with the latest developments regarding the preparation of CEN & CENELEC harmonized standards to be cited in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU).
