LS/EEDAL joint conference will take place in Toulouse from June 1st to June 3rd. It is expected to have more than 160 contributed papers in cutting-edge topics in Domestic Appliances and Lighting Systems Technology.

The consequences of climate change are increasingly felt across the world. Nature-based solutions, which consists of using natural resources to tackle environmental challenges, have an enormous (and still relatively unexplored) potential to reduce the impact of such disasters, while simultaneously providing environmental, social, and economic benefits and helping build resilience.

European Standardisation in support of the EU cybersecurity legislation

This year the EU Single Market turns 30 and European standardization has been one of its success stories. EU standards are often invisible, but they are vital and everywhere, making consumers’ lives safer, fairer and easier.
The pace of change in this rapidly evolving world means standards have a crucial role to play in engaging with a broad range of stakeholders in an open and neutral process to anticipate future business and societal needs for standardization.

On the occasion of their recently renewed Cooperation Agreement, the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission (JRC), together with the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) and the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC) are hosting an event to celebrate the role of the European standardization system in support of strategic sectors for the future of the EU economy.

The budget of the HAS assessment contract ended at the beginning of February 2022 and further requests for assessment will no longer be processed by the HAS contractor within the current contract. This webinar aims at providing guidance to CEN and CENELEC Technical Bodies on how to proceed during the gap between HAS contracts. Additionally, the novelties of the upcoming HAS assessment contract will be presented to the participants of the webinar.

Following the active participation in the 1st workshop of 16 November 2021 and great interest of a wide variety of stakeholders in the activity of the EC-ESOs Task Force on “Timely European standards for a Green and Digital, Single and Global Market” (TF), this 2nd workshop is organised to present the EC-ESOs TF progresses and achievements. The objective of the TF is to define agreed solutions, in order to adapt in a fast manner and make ready for use those standards identified as crucial.
