The EU-funded project ‘EU – China Trade Project, Support to China’s Sustainable Trade and Investment System’ (EUCTP-STIS) aimed at improving trade cooperation and technical assistance from the EU towards China.
The project had five components, of which component 2 addressed issues relating to Quality Infrastructure and Technical Barrier to Trade (TBT). For this component, CEN was a partner in the project together with one of its members, British Standards Institution (BSI).
All technical assistance activities stemming from the EUCTP-STIS project address priorities at the central and provincial levels in China, relating to trade-related policy, legislation and regulation.
Activities linked to standardization make up a great part of Component 2, and range from technical exchanges, trainings, studies, workshops and roundtables to seminars.
For further information about the project, please consult the EUCTP-STIS project website.
