The CEN/XFS Committee is pleased to announce the next generation of vendor independent interface – XFS4IoT. Whereas its XFS 3.x predecessor provided a client-server architecture for financial applications and devices on the Microsoft Windows platform only, XFS4IoT represents a massive evolution by implementing the following features:
XFS4IoT has the ability to allow financial peripheral devices to be controlled and monitored both locally and from cloud based applications, allowing users to build and run scalable applications in modern, dynamic environments. It does this by exposing vendor independent interfaces via a set of Websocket services, as detailed in the following specifications:
