This workshop is for:

European rail is under pressure. At the same time, urbanization will require major rethinking of our mobility systems. By 2050, around 75% of the world’s population will live in cities. Meeting these future challenges will be the focus for all of the transportation industries in Europe. In this climate of rapid change and disruption, European rail has the opportunity to position itself as the backbone of future mobility.
Topics that will be addressed
Attracting more users - This topic will focus on exploring the various trends impacting urbanization, mass transport, logistics whilst touching on user preferences with a focus on connectivity.
Efficiency and reliability - This topic will focus on infrastructure and operations topic, looking at autonomous driving, capacity management, energy saving, reliability and cyber security as well as digitalization.
Integrated smart mobility - This session will focus on digital infrastructure and tools for creating end-to-end journeys independent of the transport vector, with a focus on easy ticketing and e-info, trip optimization, as well as satellite and localization.
Contribute to an interactive day with key note speakers, expert panels and dynamic audience participation to address the challenges faced by the European railway industry with a focus on passenger experience, innovation and security.
The output of the event will feed into relevant standardization bodies and working groups and will allow to adjust the standardization priorities and implementation roadmaps.
