CEN–CENELEC Director General, Elena Santiago Cid, attended the second meeting of the ENISA Permanent Stakeholder Group (PSG) held in Athens on 13-14 March. During this meeting, she conveyed standardization proposals for the preparation of the draft Work Programme 2019 and contributed to the debate on the prioritization of ENISA’s activities. The focus of the discussion was around the preparatory steps for the smooth implementation of the upcoming ‘Cybersecurity Act’ and the process for the preparation of the certification schemes. The priorities for CEN and CENELEC for the Cybersecurity Act are to:
• Define what is meant by the ‘ICT products and services’ covered by the proposal,
• Invite the formally recognized national, European and international standardization organizations to define the requirements and standards to be used in the certification schemes
• Apply the process of the New Legislative Framework
• Revise the technical details included within the security objectives as well as the assurance level sections
