CEN and CENELEC will participate in the DIADEMS/SIRTEQ workshop on quantum technologies in Paris-Palaiseau (France) on 14-15 September 2017.
European FP7 project DIADEMS (DIAmond Devices Enabled Metrology and Sensing) and the French regional project SIRTEQ (Science and Engineering for Quantum Technologies in the French region of Ile-de-France) will hold a joint industry-focused workshop with many stakeholdrs in the field.
The objective is to provide a platform for knowledge-exchange, discussions and networking between academic and industrial communities interested in the huge potential of quantum technologies, and to help them build collaborations, especially in view of the upcoming Quantum Technology Flagship.
The QT Flagship is a €1 billion initiative announced by the European Commission which will provide an ambitious, coordinated and long-term strategy which is needed to support joint science, engineering and application work, including IPR, standardization, market development, training and public procurement.
CEN and CENELEC will take part, among others, in a ‘poster session’ to explain the role of standards to support the market exploitation of these new technologies.
