International Women’s Day (IWD) on March 8 celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women because visibility and awareness help drive positive change for women.
This year the theme of IWD 2017, #BeBoldForChange, seeks to create purposeful action that can accelerate gender parity across the world.
On this occasion, we spoke to three leading women to hear their viewpoints on global feminist issues, the empowerment of women, and gender parity in the work place to name but a few. Watch the highlights of our discussions with them:
- MEP Marlene Mizzi, Member of the European Parliament, Rapporteur of the European Parliament's Committee on Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO) regarding a motion for a European Parliament Resolution on "European Standards – implementation of Regulation (EU) No 1025/2012 (2016/2274(INI))"
