Technical Assistance is a very effective way to make the European conformity assessment model more visible and to promote its uptake in developing countries. Technical Assistance Programmes improve the beneficiaries’ quality infrastructure, and promote at the same time European Standards in different parts of the world. These programmes ‘beyond Europe’ are mostly financed by the European Union.
